  • No, there is no booking or extra fee that you will be charged.

  • 3. What are the steps to join us?
  • Simple, you can create an account with and we will reply you with a welcoming email.

  • 4. What kind of payment do you accept?
  • We accept all the major credit cards and Paypal.

  • 5. Can I get a refund if I cancel my booking?
  • You will receive an 85% refund prior to 72 hours of the event you reserved; we will keep 15% as we need to cover credit card fees and reservation requirements. If you wish to cancel/ no show up in between the 72 hours stated before the event, there will be no refund as we have to cover all the expanses between the us and the local event creators.

  • 6. How do I contact the local event creators?
  • Once you book the event, you will get all the info regarding the local event creator (phone, email). The local event create will receive info as well.

  • 7. Do I get a confirmation once I book?
  • Once you book with you will receive a confirmation from us and the local event creator will contact you.

  • 8. What are your safety procedures with the local event creators?
  • As we are a local company we get the chance to verify every event creator directly from our place. We detailed check all the hosts as of its telephone, email, address, government id and social media profiles. We only accepting real reviews from our previous guests, every review it indicates how trustable and quality every event is.

  • 9. What happens if the host cancels or doesn’t show up?
  • For any unforeseen situation you will get a full refund of your funds. Conditions apply.

  • 10. What happens if displeasure occurs during the event with the event creator?
  • We prefer if the 2 parties find a solution between them, however if that does not provide a solution we will intervene to mediate with the situation, get feedback from both parties and help resolve this as best as possible. Serving and providing best quality to our guest is our priority.

  • 11. What happens if the weather is not permitting an outside activity?
  • We will require a cancelation email from the user to us and to the event creator in the spam of 2 days prior to the event, detailing the weather condition. Will be given 100% refund. In the case of not a notifying via email to us XPERIENCELOCAL and the event creator will result in losing the refund.

  • 2. In which city of Greece I can host an event?
  • At this moment only in the city of Athens you will be able to host an event. Soon other areas will be coming.

  • 3. How do I sign up to be a local event creator?
  • The sign up is very easy, you apply online by filling out the form in the “Become a host” section, once you get approved by our team, we will check your event information and we will meet you personally to walk you through all the details.

  • 4. How do I get compensated from my event posted in the website?
  • You will receive the 84% of the price you chose once you create the event, after one week has passed. You will get the payment directly to your PayPal account. If you wished to send directly to your bank account there will extra charges of 1 Euro for bank fees and takes 2-3 business days.

  • 5. What kind of experience I can offer?
  • All the experience that we approved has to be either Greek traditional, local or unique activity. For example: “Learn how to cook traditional moussaka”, or “Learn how to dance Syrtaki”

  • 6. Who can apply to become a local event creator?
  • Every individual that is local to the area of the event and has a passion for the event he wants to create.

  • 7. Will I receive my funds if a guest cancels or no show up?
  • If the guest cancels during the 72 hours prior to the event, the event creator will receive the full amount after deducting the 16% percent of our website. If a can cancelation occurs before the 72 hours prior to the event, there will not be any payments to you.

  • 8. Will there be any other fees to transfer the funds to my PayPal account?
  • There will not be any other fees to transfer to PayPal, everything is included in the 16% that keeps.

  • 9. Do I have to pay taxes from the funds I received?
  • Yes, you will need to pay taxes and declare them every year to your tax declaration.

  • 10. How do I receive the bookings and manage my post.
  • Our website provides an easy and friendly experience platform in order to be able to manage your post and verify all the info of the bookings. As soon as someone books the event you will need to confirm with the guest as soon as possible. If you don’t confirm the reservation there is a possibility that the guest can cancel as he never received a confirmation. He will still have the ability to rate your event.

  • 11. Can I cancel or reject a booking?
  • You can cancel or reject a reservation only for uncontrolled circumstances and this is the weather, emergency or an “act of god” situation. We will need full description of the reason of the cancelation. If however more than 3 times in a year occurs cancelation we will need to examine the event validity. As it hurts our reputations we try to keep cancelation to the minimum.

  • 12. Can I have someone to Co-host an experience?
  • Sure, you can have someone help you Co-host an experience, it is a great way to manage more bookings and bigger groups of guests. Remember the price for the event has to be affordable, high prices on the listings will results in less bookings

  • 13. What are the best tips for getting more event bookings?
  • The important factors over an event are the pricing and the quality of the event’s posting, this means that at the time to advertise your event there should be a great offer showed case with professional looking photographs and a great description, this will allowed you to pursue more guest. Also, after every event booked the guests are able to rate you, so the better your event is, the better changes of obtaining awesome reviews.

  • 14. How does the reviewing of the event works?
  • Every guest will receive an email after their booking, where they will have the chance to write their opinion and select a rate with stars about the event you had offered. So is very important that your services are the best, the more positive ratings and reviews, the more guests you will receive. Remember to keep your scores high, if your scores fall under 3 stars your event creator account with Xperiencelocal will be cancel and you will no longer have access.

  • 15. How will I get notify about my bookings?
  • Our system allows us to notify you as a local event creator by an automated email or inside of your local event creator account. Remember to always checked prior an event, to make sure everything is in order and that there would not be any inconveniences.

  • 16. How to be enthusiastic with the guest?
  • An event creator should be enthusiastic at all moments with their guests; we recommend to be thoughtful, friendly and warm. Remember that the guest should feel like a local and welcomed. Always be 100% positive and smile!!

  • 17. How to be professional when hosting event event?
  • Few advises on on how to be proffesional host: 1.always be on time, 2.follow up with the guest on every step, 3.keep a respectful language, 4.remember the names of the guest and maintain a friendly accomodating behavior, keep a clean image when you present yourself and remember “first impressions always count”. Remember that all aspects will reflect on your guest's reviews.
